Gong.

The sound of a bell echoed from the neighboring room.
Whenever this sound reached his ears, Tack’s chest tightened with an overwhelming sense of gloom.

"I hope everyone only has minor injuries..."
Tack murmured softly.

"Are you feeling down again? It’s the same as always, isn’t it?"

Lucy, who had been working in the corner of the room, sighed as she turned to face him. Having been Tack’s partner for a long time, she was well accustomed to his pessimistic nature.

"Yeah, I know..."

Tack answered weakly, his gaze fixed on the treatment table.

"There's no point in you getting all depressed over it."

Lucy lightly patted Tack’s shoulder, trying to encourage him. Her tone carried an air of forced cheerfulness, but there was also a warmth in it that showed her concern.

Tack lowered his eyes and gave a short nod.

"If another Dream Monster is transferred in, it’s going to be this room. Let’s hurry and get ready for treatment."

Lucy pointed at the shelves holding medical tools as she spoke.

"Alright."

Tack took a deep breath, shook his head to clear his thoughts, and picked up the treatment equipment. Following Lucy’s instructions, he began preparing for the incoming patients.

The world where Tack and Lucy lived existed between reality and dreams—a place known to its inhabitants as the World of Hazama.
In this strange realm, preparations were being made for entities called Dream Artifacts.

Dream Artifacts were classified into three major types: Dream Monsters, which took the form of beasts when summoned; Dream Weapons, which could be wielded in battle; and Dream Items, which possessed special effects. Each of these artifacts was powered by Dream Power, a mysterious force that allowed them to manifest in the real world.

The World of Hazama housed several specialized areas for handling these Dream Artifacts.
First, the Chamber of Creation, where artifacts were brought into existence.
Next, the Chamber of Restoration, where damaged artifacts were treated and repaired.
And finally, the Chamber of Rest, where artifacts were stored between summonings and adjusted as needed.

This world functioned as a bridge connecting dreams and reality, and Tack and Lucy carried out their daily tasks here.

At this very moment, several Dream Monsters had been summoned to the real world and were locked in fierce battles.
Before long, the wounded Dream Monsters would be transported one after another into the Chamber of Restoration.
